The draft expectations are as follows:

Subcommittee Chair/Co-Chair Expectations:
  • Participate in 4 of 5 scheduled Planning Committee (PC) conference calls (11/13, 12/10, 1/14, 2/4, 2/25)
  • Organize and participate in all scheduled subcommittee communications (weeks of 11/13, 11/26, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/21, 2/4, 2/18)
  • Take notes (or take volunteers to take notes) during each subcommittee meeting
  • Disseminate notes from all subcommittee meetings to members and PC Co-Chairs
  • Disseminate email updates to members and PC Co-Chairs
  • Take an active role in the overall planning process, especially regarding sponsorship and outreach
  • Support decisions made collaboratively by the PC

Subcommittee Chair/Co-Chair Rewards:
  • $500 stipend to be used toward travel/hotel expenses
  • One free conference registration (not to be substituted, in order to enable accurate tracking)
    • Includes t-shirt, flash drive, pass to Administrators' Opportunities Fair (even if not a campus administrator), special recognition in program and on nametag, and special shout-out during conference kick-off
  • Invitation to Sunday evening Planning Committee bash

Subcommittee Member Expectations:
  • Participate in 4 of 5 scheduled Planning Committee (PC) conference calls (11/12, 12/10, 1/14, 2/4, 2/25)
  • Participate in 6 of 8 scheduled subcommittee conference calls (weeks of 11/12, 11/26, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/21, 2/4, 2/18)
  • Volunteer for tasks as needed and as developed by subcommittee chairs and fellow members
  • Follow through with tasks promptly, giving updates often and asking for help whenever there is a question
  • Take an active role in the overall planning process, especially regarding sponsorship and outreach
  • Support decisions made collaboratively by the PC

  • These look good. As i noted on the Committees page, i might have to adjust subcommittee meeting times a bit around the wedding shenanigans - is this ok, as long as we meet the requisit number of times total? -stephanie r

  • I think they look good to me. I would just ask that we try to make meetings during a "lunch time" time. -Sean
