Dear IMPACT Registrant,
On behalf of the IMPACT Planning Committee, thank you for enrolling in this year’s national conference. We are delighted and excited to have you and over 500 college students throughout the United States embark on an empowering, reflective, and inspiring experience with like-minded people.
To make participants feel even more welcome and to really take advantage of our strategic location, the Planning Committee would like to hold several informal city tours led by students who are well-acquainted with Boston and its most riveting attractions. We noticed that you attend a school in Boston, and thus might be a good candidate to lead such a tour. We would really appreciate your help and leadership if you are interested in leading a tour during the Conference. Tours will last approximately one hour and will take place on the evening of Saturday, March 8, 2008. Groups will be manageable, as other events and city tours will be occurring at the same time so that registrants can choose among a variety of activities during their free time.

Hi. I'm not sure which keynote speakers have confirmed yet, but if we are still looking, a couple of thoughts that might be easier to confirm:
- Wayne Meisel, founder of COOL and President of Bonner. He's a great speaker and will put time into making something special for it.
- Michael Brown, City Year...also an inspiring speaker and in the area, John Sarvey or I could contact.
Also, if we want more student keynotes, I can help identify some Bonners who would be very good and have lots of relevant experiences to present.

Recently I joined the Planning Committee of a huge leadership conference held in Boston called IMPACT: National Student Conference on Service, Advocacy, and Social Action. I am a member of the Keynotes/Forums Subcommittee, and we are currently looking at potential speakers for our conference to be held in April (I can get the exact dates for you in a bit -- I JUST joined so I don't know all of the details).
Anyway, two things:
I want YOU to speak! You're PERFECT for this conference -- the title of the conference is exactly what we're about, and I know you'll have a lot of great things to say about Acknowledgement and Civic Engagement. Are you interested at all in this opportunity?
Second, I feel horrible about this, but... I'm having trouble remembering the name of a certain someone who was at one of our Inspire America meetings at the TLC office. I thiiink her name is Joanne, but I'm unsure. She overcame Identity Theft and I believe helped create the federal statute about identity theft, and she is an employee for Difference Makers International. She also lives on the East Coast. I can't remember her name or contact info. because I left my business cards back at home (right now I'm at Bentley College in Greater Boston). If you are unable to attend our conference, I'd love to get in touch with her since it'd be more geographically possible, etc.
Please get back to me as soon as you can! I'm so jazzed for this event, I just want to get things rolling, and the sooner I hear from you the faster I can get you in on this and get everyone fired up about meeting/listening to you!!

Nice to hear from you. I hope that you are doing well, I have heard excellent things about the work you are doing. I would be honored to accept this invitiation. My work schedule, especially in Feb/March prohibits me from the Friday slot, but I would be happy to fill the Sunday spot.
Please confirm with me as soon as possible, and additionally, I would like to set up a meeting for after the holidays ( or at least a phone call) for more details about what you would like me to speak about, especially if its the closing remarks, I would like to tie in the key themes of the conference.
Also, I have a standard bio used for conferences that I could forward to you if you need it for your website or print materials.
